light & crisp
Bouvet-Ladubay is one of the oldest and most renowned sparkling wine producers on the Loire and specialises in traditional sparkling wines such as Saumur Brut or Crémant de Loire. Patrice Monmousseau, managing director of Bouvet-Ladubay since 1970, produces decidedly serious sparkling wines of modern style. They are technically brilliantly realised and prove that the grapes are harvested at exemplary ripeness and processed cleanly and skilfully.
This light yellow Bouvet Ladubay La Petite Bulle Frizzant Blanc spoils the nose with aromas of ripe apples, nutty accents, beautiful brioche notes and convinces on the palate with a pleasant balance and fine pearly mousseaux.
Only the best grapes of the Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay varieties from the Loire Valley are used. They are gently processed in the cellar and receive their characteristic, fine carbonic acid through the natural fermentation of the wine.
The Cuvée La Petite Bulle was created in Saint Hilaire, where there are huge cellars made of tuff, the stone of the Loire castles.
