Color: intense ruby red with garnet tones.
[br]Bouquet: rich and ample. The complementary varietal characteristics of the Cabernet and Merlot enhance each other in an extremely complex wine.
[br]Taste: full and round with a framework of very fine wood.
[br]Produced only in favorable vintages. The two varieties are vinified separately with variable maceration between 8 (Merlot) and 18 (Cabernet) days. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation which takes place in barriques in temperature controlled areas.
[br]The wine is aged at a controlled temperature of 59°F. The varieties age separately in French oak barriques for 12-14 months and then are blended and aged as a cuvée for the following 8-10 months. Bottle-aging follows for 6 months.
