Description
This cuvée has been produced at Château Pesquié since 1990 and its name 'Quintessence' is intended to raise awareness of this extraordinary wine. This cuvée, dominated by Syrah, is a selection of the oldest vines and is only produced in particularly good years.
The Château Pesquié Quintessence Rouge Ventoux Magnum (1.5L) flows in a deep, almost purple red into the glass and attracts with scents of cassis and cherries, which are complemented by a spicy note. On the palate, the cherry aroma solidifies, some vanilla and floral notes, accompanied by gentle hints of black olives. This rich, powerful and extraordinary cuvée impresses with its lush structure, which is balanced by the freshness of the Ventoux Terriors. The spicy, smoky notes merge with the velvety tannins to a seductive finale.
It is advisable to decant the still young cuvée before enjoying it so that the aromas can fully develop. Wine lovers around the world are enthusiastic about this creation. Robert Parker raves about the pure fruit and the outstanding quality of the tannins and Jancis Robinson is also impressed by the very rich and sweet fruit aromas.
