From drinking wine to quality grapes, the Barbera has had a steep international career over the past 20 years. Formerly notorious as an ordinary plant, the red grape variety is now very popular with many wine connoisseurs. In Piedmont, Cordero di Montezemolo produces this special treat for the palate called Funtani from 100% Barbera.
In the glass, the Cordero di Montezemolo Barbera d`Alba Superiore Funtani presents itself with an intense and deep color. The bouquet is very fresh with exquisite aromas of raspberry, currant and blackberry. These are penetrated by a warm spicy note.
A great wine with a very complex, full-bodied and at the same time velvety taste that goes perfectly with Piedmontese meat dishes.
