bold & opulent
The bouquet of this Dr. Heger Ihringer Winklerberg Pinot Blanc Spätlese already shows the typical minerality and complexity of a Pinot Blanc from Baden. Close-knit, interwoven but finely differentiated aromas of ripe, yellow pears, fresh grapes and melon peel can be seen here. There is also a hint of exotic fruits, such as papaya, which gives the wine a tropical character. The nose is particularly convincing with its wonderful freshness and extremely subtle, mineral notes.
With the first sip we feel the great balance and the finely dosed weight of this wine. Delicate aromas of mirabelle plums develop on the tongue. The palate shows how transparent and lively this Pinot Blanc is. The body of the wine is wrapped in a silky dress and fascinates with a fine, mineral core that crystallizes more and more clearly towards the finish. The finale is again elegant and long-lasting with fine piquancy and aromas of white melon meat.
The special recommendation for asparagus, fish or just like that on the terrace.
