The small family business Domaine du Pourpre, led by experienced winemaker Bernard Meziat, has vines over 55 years old that grow in a south-easterly direction and are used for the elegant, intensely aromatic Georges Duboeuf Domaine du Pourpre Moulin à Vent.

In the crimson red wine, stone fruits such as sour cherries are noticeable, as well as berries, multi-layered flower tones of violets and roses as well as sweet spices and pepper notes. The wine is voluminous and generous on the palate, it appears almost meaty. The tannins are striking, yet silky and give interesting impressions from menthol to the persistent finish. An exciting wine that will gain even more sophistication with a few years in the cellar.
