Description
With the wines of Château des Jacques, a new dimension began in Beaujolais: estate director Guillaume de Castelnau only makes his Gamay wines from Burgundy. This means that the grapes are strictly selected, destemmed and left on the mash for 3 weeks before the wine matures in one-year barriques for 8 months.
The result is this Château des Jacques Moulin-à-Vent: meaty, juicy, mature, developed and very strong! The cherry red wine smells of red berries and smoky vanilla. On the palate, the wine made from 100% Gamay delights with a juicy flavor. Slightly damp stone provides a mineral structure as an aroma further back. It flows slowly and smoothly towards a long finale.
