A red wine that embodies the wine tradition from Verona and is matured according to the very old Ripasso method to refine the wine.
The Bertani Ripasso Valpolicella DOC shows itself in an intense purple red with flashes of violet reflections. Aromas of juicy blackberries, black currants, ripe cherries and plums beguile the nose and are accompanied by light spicy accents and chocolate impressions. It is full-bodied in taste, balanced, soft, velvety, lively and presents all of its strong properties on the palate and deep into the long finish.
The harvest takes place by hand. All grapes are carefully destemmed, pressed and fermented in steel tanks. The second fermentation, the 'ripasso fermentation', takes place on the mash of the Recioto and Amarone grapes.
