Description

The colour black on black.
Very intense bouquet of mineral, roasted chestnuts, fresh crushed currants, burnt toffee, spices, dark chocolate and lavender. The Gnarly Dudes is brooding and will take a few more months to develop further.
On the palate very full and juicy. It starts with a huge amount of penetrating and layered black fruits. The mid palate is quite extended and leads nicely to a moderately long and supple finish. A really fun ride is the almost Christmas cake/chocolate tart-like texture of all very dark fruits. Initially sweet then bone dry are the tannins, finishing nicely on slow. Enjoy now or up to 3-5 years.
