In this place in the South Tyrolean Alps, on the shores of Lake Kaltern, you feel an almost magical atmosphere and immediately believe that the wines from the lake must really be something special. Sublime, towering mountain peaks form a perfect harmony with the adjoining gentle hills, plus the lake, which gently mirrors the surrounding nature. The grapes for the wines of the Kaltern Winery thrive at high altitudes and bring this energy and atmosphere with them into the bottle.
The bouquet of this bright yellow Kaltern Winery Pinot Grigio DOC is characterised by intense fruitiness with aromas of pineapple, banana and ripe pears. In the mouth, it is wonderfully voluminous and trumps with a lot of melting. This promises pure drinking pleasure until the juicy, fruit-influenced finish. This multi-award-winning Ruländer, as Pinot Gris is called in South Tyrol, is excellently structured and delights with a pleasant balance between fullness and freshness.
The wine is excellent as a relaxed aperitif or as an accompaniment to mushroom dishes, fish and seafood.
