Description
The history of the House of Ferrari, and thus of Italy's most famous spumante, begins with the young Giulio Ferrari, who enrolled in the legendary viticultural institute in Montpellier at the end of the century before last to learn all about natural bottle fermentation from the French. When he returned to his home in Trento, he planted vines brought from France in his own vineyard and in 1902 produced the first bottle of his wine in the family palazzo. The first bottle of his Spumante in the family palazzo. Giulio Ferrari works hard and fulfils his dream of having his own first-class brand.
As Ferrari has no descendants of his own, in the middle of the 20th century he chooses Bruno Lunelli as his successor, who promises him to produce the masterly Spumante unchanged. Lunelli kept his word but also fulfilled his own ambition by expanding the company and producing and selling 100,000 bottles for the first time in 1969. Today, Lunelli's children and grandchildren run the company. And still today all Spumante from the house of Ferrari are produced according to the Metodo Classico and mature for several years on selected yeasts from their own cultures.
Delicate bouquet of berries and yeast and a spicy and complex finish. In the mouth of great elegance and perfect taste, wild berries with a spicy note and a persistent finish with hints of mild tannin and fine yeast. Can accompany an entire menu for discerning wine lovers.
