Description
This varietal Cabernet Sauvignon brings wonderful expression of what this grape can achieve in California's Alexander Valley!
The nose presents the Director's Cut Cabernet Sauvignon expressive aromas of plums, cherries and wild berries. In addition, are joined by hints of cassis, a touch of coconut and cocoa flavors. In the background, showing subtle hints of spice. On the palate, lush fruit convinced, which is accompanied by sweet tannins. A long, lush and incredibly concentrated departure follows.
Our recommendation to all the rich flavors, soft cheeses and game.
The Francis Coppola wine was aged 24 months in new French barriques for 50% and 50% of 1-2-year-old French oak barrels.
The Alexander Valley is a long narrow valley that runs north to south. During the cooler southern part there is the even more penetrating fog, the northern part has a reliably warm climate that is suitable for the cultivation of this late-ripening variety special. The soils have a great variety of red volcanic soils in the east, on the alluvial soil of the valley towards the rubble interspersed with clay soils west.
