Powerful and elegant with an intense dark red colour.
This intensely powerful wine with soft, round, solid tannins has a distinguished character with aromas of red fruits, cassis and a touch of cedar and cinnamon. In the mouth, the wine has delightful notes of vanilla and coffee, and a long, lingering finish with a pleasant and harmonious balance of fruit and oak.
Montes Alpha "M" is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Merlot (5%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Petit Verdot (5%), which links all the other grapes. The Cabernet Franc enhances the elegance of the first variety, and is in total harmony with the softness of the second and austerity of the third. The 5% of Petit Verdot is adding an extra element of complexity. The structure of this wine will keep it for over 20 years.

The 2006 harvest came later that usual due to a higher proportion of cold days during spring and summer. This weather produced a slower ripening season, resulting in elegant, mid-bodied wines. Due to this it was necessary to bleed the wines at twenty percent to obtain more concentration and body; two pump-overs were also done to increase their quality, obtaining delicate aromas and wines of great elegance and very soft tannins.
