The Weißherbst is a German specialty:
According to German wine law, the term Weißherbst is 100% pressed from a red grape variety. The grapes must also come from only one rosé wine from one location. The same process is used as for making white wine. The must is pressed from the grapes before fermentation, so that the red color of the berries is only noticeable as a light pink color of the wine.
This Portuguese Weißherbst is a fresh summer wine with lots of fruit and a harmonious, soft acidity. It tastes particularly good with all pasta dishes and salads.
