Remelluri (1)

More info
The history of the Remelluri winery finds its origin under the name "Erramelluri" in the 10th century. In the 15th century monks inhabited the small farm and began producing wine. Many years passed until in 1967 Jaime Rodriguez Salis and Amaya Hernandorena bought the winery near the town of Labastida. The winery in northern Spain has 154 hectare, of which 105 hectare are used as a source for the original Remelluri wines. The vines grow on the slopes of small valleys on more than 100 lots, some with ancient vine population that still goes back to the time of the monks. Among the grown varieties are Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Moscatel and Malvasia.
