Description
bold & opulent
This port is called "Chip Dry" because it is so dry "like a piece of wood". On ice with a little lime and mint it is a great aperitif.
In the glass a dark straw yellow.
In the nose, clear aromas of almonds.
On the palate, a slight sweetness with wonderfully balanced and fresh acidity. The aromas are intense and reminiscent of almonds and marzipan. Wonderfully complex and long lasting.
More info:
Taylor's Port was the first port house to start vinifying white port in the 1930s. This Port is also a blend of different grape varieties, but the white Malvasia Fina dominates. The white port is a perfect aperitif wine and should be enjoyed well chilled at about 10 °C. Taylor's Chip Dry also tastes great as a long drink mixed with tonic water - definitely try it!
