bold & opulent

Assertive aromas, bursting with blackberry, bramble and white pepper. Glossy, dark cherry, mulberry fruit with fresh acidity and fine tannins. A classy wine that brings to the fore the best attributes of McLaren Vale Shiraz. 

Deep black with slightly purple rim. The bouquet of ripe fruits such as cherries and blackcurrants, with notes of freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate, peppermint, liquorice and subtle pepper is very aromatic. The mouthfeel starts out quite thick and very smooth. Across the palate a layered density emerges. With a good amount of fleshy fruit weight the tannins are quite firm whilst they are balanced. A persistent finish with excellent precision.

Noch zu frisch

Einer der besten Weine die ich je gerunken habe war der Angels Share aus 2006. Den 2011er möchte ich lieber noch zwei Jahre liegen lassen, den 2010er hatte ich direkt nach Bestellung probiert und fand er benötigt noch etwas. 2013 war er TOP :-).

Shiraz der gehobenen Klasse

Dies ist ein sehr guter Wein, wenngleich etwas zu teuer, für das was er bietet. Sehr schöne Farbe, typische Aromen nach Leder und Pfeffer, sehr schöner und nachhaltiger Abgang. Der Wein sollte länger gelagert werden, der verkostete Jahrgang 2009 war noch zu jung
